Small World - Photographs Added to The Gallery

I did mention my latest project “Small World” here some time ago, and I have been continuously working on it since then. This week I went to see my friend Jorg Brockmann who is a photographer and gallery owner here in Geneva. I asked him for his opinion about this project and it was really nice and productive discussion and I was positively surprised by his comments and suggestions he made to me at the end.

I did not tell him anything about the project like why I do it, what I want to communicate with it etc. I just showed him few prints and was waiting for his judgment. It was nice to hear that he understood the main idea and my intention what I want to communicate with this series. I was bit sad that he killed couple of my favorite photographs, but at the end I have to acknowledge that he was right about it. :-) After this consultation, I came home and went through all my scanned negatives and at the end I did select top 12 photographs which I would like to share here

My goal is to get something around 20 to 30 photographs and make the final presentation in form of photo exhibition. However, it is very likely that I will never get to this final number of photographs, because those I like today, might not be good enough in few months, and as you know me I am never finished with my projects. But one thing is absolutely sure, I am really enjoying working on this project, both outdoor while taking photographs and also in darkroom where I am making the final prints.
